Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to deal with agent provocateurs i.e. agents of the police or security forces who infiltrate protests and cause violence? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_provocateur) (Could also apply equally to other people who are angry and looking for confrontation but who are not necessarily members of the security forces for example members of organizations with similar goals to one's own but who believe in violent struggle)

*Agents infiltrate movement or just turn up at event.
*Agents incite or perpetrate act of violence or even just damage property.
*Media portray all protesters as violent
*Security forces justify repression of 'violent' demonstrators
*Loss of public support and membership
